
How it works
Employees and team leaders should discuss potential training needs in line with business strategy and the employee’s professional development. This should be discussed during the mid-year appraisal process in April.
Once training is deemed appropriate, consideration should be given as to how the training or coaching should be delivered. For example, on the job training, mentoring, expert in-company training, apprenticeships, seminars or formal external training.
Requests are collated into a training plan which is signed off by the Senior Management Team annually. Any approved training will then be scheduled within the year.
For any safety critical training that is due to expire, you will receive a reminder and an invitation to attend an event to keep your certificate up to date.
The Optimus portal is available for booking onto dates following an invitation to register from either Optimus or the HR / L&D team.
