The 3 day First Aid at Work course is our most advanced First Aid course. It provides you with a comprehensive set of skills needed by any first aider at work. 3 days of practical, fun and interactive First Aid training. Gain the skills and qualification needed to be a First Aider on site. After successfully completing the course, you are provided with a certificate which is valid for 3 years. This complies with the Health and safety at work act 1974.

Advanced students are a mix of leisure and commercial powerboat skippers.

The RYA SRC (VHF Radio) course is the shortest of the four GMDSS Certificates and is aimed at skippers and crew of small craft operating in inshore and coastal regions. It is the most common radio certificate for leisure boaters.

This course is for mechanical and semi-skilled operatives (such as Caretakers, Property Maintenance Personnel, Facilities Management Companies, Schools, Joiners, Plumbers, Gas Engineers) that require a basic knowledge of electrical installations and equipment, including safe isolation procedures and safe systems at work.

RYA First Aid gives you some knowledge so that in a medical emergency, you may be able to save lives, especially when you are in a remote location or at sea. This course is unique, as it is aimed at water sports enthusiasts and small craft operators, it takes a realistic look at the levels of First Aid that can be performed in a yacht, powerboat, dinghy or ocean rowing boat.

Please be advised that from now on, the STCW Personal Survival Techniques course will be the preferred option for all TKMS Employees. There is no change in course requirements or what is expected on the day. It's the accreditation that is slightly different. If you have previously completed RYA Sea Survival or a similar certification, and your role requires you to complete a refresher course, the STCW qualification is what you will be booked onto moving forward.

This programme will provide delegates with an understanding of health and safety requirements relating to their work activities. It will highlight organisational and human influences on safety at work and focus on a range of risk control measures essential to company activities. It will help to develop an approach to safe working, using the principles outlined in Successful Health and Safety Management HSG65 together with the more fundamental tried and tested techniques of health and safety management.
