Please be advised that from now on, the STCW Personal Survival Techniques course will be the preferred option for all TKMS Employees. There is no change in course requirements or what is expected on the day. It's the accreditation that is slightly different. If you have previously completed RYA Sea Survival or a similar certification, and your role requires you to complete a refresher course, the STCW qualification is what you will be booked onto moving forward.

The City and Guilds 6160-09 provides a medium risk entry / entry controller qualification at a nationally recognised level. Covering the fundamental principles of confined space working, any person with any exposure to confined space is recommended to attend this course. Although primarily aimed operatives it is a necessary foundation for all persons looking to progress their understanding of confined space entry.
